29 is the bomb

As in...BOMBAY House. Yum yum. We celebrated the big 2-9 with my fam the other night. When we asked Shomit if the food was authentic, he said "Very much so." Direct quote. So, there you have it. Bombay house is probably the best Indian food in SLC. Shomit and Rahul were shoveling it in like there was no tomorrow!

Tonight I celebrated again with my cute friends at the Dodo. If it seems like I'm going from one meal to the next, well, that's because I am. Don't worry, there are still more b-day meals to come this weekend!

In honor of Halloween and all things slimey and disgusting, I thought I would share something nasty. I have been procrastinating cleaning out the drain in my bathroom sink for months. Since it has literally stopped draining, I decided it was time. Totally gross, I know!!

Anyways, after about a half an hour of disassembling and scraping with my hanger, this is what I pulled out...whilst gagging.


I have to admit that for one second I let my imagination get the best of me and I thought, (because of the shape and size), that maybe just maybe it was a dead mouse in my drain. Ewwwww. Is that spooky or what?

We Are Fam-i-ly

So this weekend was the bomb since ALL of my Cali cousins came to town. We are never all together, so when we are, it is so much fun. Not a great pic, but here we are having an impromptu family reunion meeting. Yours truly is in charge for the 2009 extravaganza!


This weekend was, what else....a sports bonanza! Right now there are 4 female cousins playing on college teams. (I know what you're thinking, and YES, the athletic gene did completely skip me...thank you very much!) Thursday was Bryn's volleyball game, Friday was Syd's soccer game and Saturday was back to Happy Valley for another volleyball game. Peter drew the line at attending a BYU football game, although the offer was on the table. Bryn played awesome....#13

And, we invited our new Indian friends, Shomit and Rahul. They were super cute and said that this was "the most fun" they have had since they moved to Utah. Hmmm...looks like we need to get them out a little more!
